Many know him from the popular band, Fall Out Boy, and many know her as being Jessica Simpson’s little sister until she broke away from that association in 2004 when her first CD, Autobiography, was released. Ashlee Simpson, 23, and her rocker boyfriend Pete Wentz, 28 are in fact engaged, Us Magazine has confirmed.

Simpson’s Rep has said “Yes, they are happily engaged.” Ashley is “really happy!”

Of course, there is the rumor that she is pregnant, in which her rep did not comment on. First there was Fergie, then Avril Lavigne and now Ashlee Simpson, does everybody who is engaged or married in Hollywood have to be pregnant? This seems to be the top rumor to spread around this year, maybe its because some of the top A-listers are in fact pregnant.

Simpson’s Rep referred Us to go to friendsorenemies.com to where Simpson said, “We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I, and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best. Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged.”

Simpson and Wentz have been together since 2006. “When you find someone you think is your soulmate, it’s inevitable,” he said.

From the PR perspective, I feel her rep handled the situation well. She confirmed the rumors that they were engaged, she didn’t deny it, and she carefully avoided the pregnancy question by directing their attention to friendsorenemies.com. As I have stated before, I respect the right of celebrities privacy, they confirmed they were engaged, can we let them enjoy their engagement until they choose to share more of their private life with us?

Considering the two were issued a marriage license earlier this week in Scarsdale, N.Y., did Beyoncé and Jay Z tie the knot? People magazine is reporting that they did in fact get married. Although there has been no confirmation, a friend of the couple said they married early Friday evening. “It happened earlier this evening. Jay wanted it to be a really private affair – close friends and family,” the source said.

The couple has been together since 2002, Jay-Z, 38, and Knowles, 26. They have collaborated with each other and kept a low profile about their relationship even though they’ve been photographed together around the world for the past six years.

The coupled exchanged vows, then a reception followed after on the rooftop of Jay Z’s apartment that included Destiny Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, Tina Knowles, Solange, and close friends Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay singer Chris Martin, and Jay-Z’s close friends.

The two never seemed interested in marriage, as she proclaimed to Cosmopolitan saying, “I never pictured myself as a bride,” January 2006, “but after my sister’s wedding, I did start thinking about what kind of wedding I’d want. I don’t think I want a big one.”

As for the wedding date the number four has particular significance to the couple. Both Jay-Z and Beyonce were born on the 4th – Jay Z was born on December 4, 1969, while Beyonce was born September 4, 1981.

It looks like a happy ending for the two. Maybe this will be one celebrity couple that will make marriage work, being together for six years should ensure that it will. I wonder if the couple will inevitably avoid the fact that they tied the knot like they did for their relationship since 2002, in which I respect, it’s nobody’s business and not many can pull it off. From the PR perspective I like that they are secretive. If they wanted to stay private I would respect that and support it. Not every couple wants to be on the front page of everything.

It turned out to be a happy ending for the twins of Dennis Quaid and his wife Kimberly.

The boy and girl twins born to the couple from a surrogate mother were hospitalized for being among three patients that were given 1,000 times the common dosage of a blood thinner, according to Fox News. The twins were originally being treated for a staff infection. Cedar-Sinai Medical Center gave the two week old twins the adult dose of the drug heparin last November. Quaid said they started working on his son’s bellybutton because it would not stop bleeding and when a nurse tried to clamp it, blood shot out about six feet across the room. “It basically turned their blood to the consistency of water, where it had a complete inability to clot. They were basically bleeding out at that point.”

Making matters worse, the hospital did not even contact the Quaid’s to inform them that anything was wrong until they arrived at the hospital with a gut feeling something was wrong. And on top of that, Dennis and Kimberly reported to the Los Angeles Times that they felt someone from inside of the hospital leaked information to the news and media about the mistake.

Dennis and his wife sued the the drug’s manufacturer, Baxter Healthcare Corp., for packaging different doses of the product with similar vials with a blue background, that was misread by a staff member of the hospital. Quaid also said “the nurse didn’t bother to look at the dosage on the bottle.” A similar case to the Quaids occurred in Indiana which resulted in three infant deaths, moving Baxter to redesign the packaging and issue warning labels. The hospital was also fined $25,000 by state health regulators.

Both Baxter and the hospital have acknowledged that this was a preventable error. The hospital issued an apology, not directly commenting on the Quaid twins, but recognizing three patients that received the overdose. As for Baxter, the executive Debra Bello claimed their product was safe and effective but the errors could have been prohibited.

It is safe to say though that the twins recovered and are doing fine now and Quaid says he has a greater appreciation for life now. It has changed his outlook on life

 Well it looks like you’re going to have to Paul McCartney. The “long and winding road” to divorce has finally come to an end. How much will the Heather Mills and Paul McCartney divorce cost the Beatle? This has been one of the most angry and bitter battles in show business history. Judge Hugh Bennett has finally delivered the judgment at London’s High Court. Heather Mills, 40, was married to Paul McCartney, 65, for less than four years, fired her lawyers and decided to represent herself against McCartney, who’s fortune has been estimated at about $1.6 billion. Mills received $24.3 million in the settlement.McCartney Married Mills in 2002 and the couple had one daughter, Beatrice. The couple married four years after the death of his first wife, who died of breast cancer.  The announcement of their divorce spread all over the tabloids and some called Mills a “whore” and “gold-digger,” in which she said made her contemplate suicide according to Reuters. The judge has claimed that Mills has “twisted the truth” and asked for an unreasonably high  financial demands. “To some extent she is her own worst enemy,” said Judge Hugh Bennett. Mills lost part of her leg in an accident and claimed that McCartney made fun of her disability and was an abusive alcoholic husband. But the judge did not see this to be true. It seemed obvious to the judge that her claims may have been inflated because of McCartney’s stature.Access Hollywood says Mills dumped a glass of water of McCartney’s lawyers head, she told reporters it was a “baptism.” It seems clear to me that the majority of the press favors McCartney’s side, describing Mills as “explosive, volatile” and caught lying. The judge and Lawyers have been quoted in most of the articles and all favor McCartney, saying the he was “consistent, accurate and honest.”Mills seems to have been after one thing, the money. The judge has been quoted and calling her demand “exorbitant.” I agree with the judge and feel as though Mills was only hurting herself by firing her lawyers and taking on the case by herself. She made herself look like a fool and changed her story which the judge found hard to follow and believe. McCartney came out of top, staying consistent with his side of the story. This divorce was ugly, like most in hollywood, but it became even uglier by the help of Mills. The settlement she received was more than enough and she only has herself to thank for what she did get, especially after turning down an offer of $55 million from Paul himself if she were to never speak of their marriage to the press. It seems obvious who the press favored and who I favor myself.

For those of you who watched the Oscars, I guess you noticed how many of the hottest stars are expecting. Nicole Kidman, Jessica Alba, Cate Blanchett and Angelina Jolie, who has not yet admitted to the obvious bump that we can all see. These women were showing off their bumps at the Academy Awards, except for the missing Angelina Jolie.

Exactly how many kids will this make for her and Brad? This one will be number five! According the the Associate Press they have 1-year-old Shiloh, and three children adopted from Cambodia, Ethiopia and Vietnam. Their adopted children are Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; and Zahara, 3. How many more are they going to be having and adopting? Rumors say they want a lot, something around 13!

Cate Blnachett is expecting her third child with husband Andrew Upton. Nicole Kidman is expecting her first child with husband Keith Urban and has two adopted children with ex-husband Tom Cruise. This will be Jessica Alba’s first child with fiancé Cash Warren.

All of the women looked beautiful at the Awards show, I wonder if twins are in the cards for any of the new expecting mothers? I cannot wait to see how much Nicole and Jessica might be offered for their first baby pictures. Keep an eye out for Cate, she’s closest to term.

After all the speculation, it looks as though the rumors were true, as most of you have probably seen, Jennifer Lopez did give birth to twins a little after midnight this morning. She had a girl and minutes later had a boy. According to the associated press on yahoo, these are her first children and Marc Anthony’s fourth and fifth. Jennifer and Marc have been married since 2004.

She gave birth in a Long Island, NY hospital. The boy weighed an even 6 pounds and the girl weighed 5 pounds, 7 ounces.

Both sides of the family are ecstatic, and for someone who has wanted children of her own for a while now, how can they not be?

The new rumors circulating now are how much the couple is being offered for the first shots of their newborn babies. People magazine has reportedly offered $6 million, which tops the $4 million Brad and Angelina were offered. I guess we should be expecting to see her adorable children here pretty soon if not in People, some other magazine.

Thank goodness the strike is over! I can finally get back to my Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives and other great shows that I have been missing out on for the past three months! Although we will all have to wait until April/May to see these new episodes so they can be taped, I know everyone is just happy that the wait is over… at least almost over.

Although the exact terms have not been met yet, they have come to an agreement. They wanted to reach an agreement before the Oscars to prevent any picketers outside the event, and it looks as though they did.

According to cnbc.com, because of all the studio cutbacks, a lot of the writers who had “big-money” contracts, might not be given such great privileges this time around.

So get ready all of you TV addicts, your favorite shows will indeed be back!

So everyone is wondering if Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are expecting twins. According to the AP, they are not saying. They answered questions about the baby, but when asked if it was twins, they avoided the question and did not answer. Apparently, “J Lo’s” father has confirmed that they are indeed expecting twins, and that they run in the family on his side, his sister has twins.

Everyone is excited for her pregnancy and her father already has gifts, “In Puerto Rico it’s custom to buy an azabache [jet black, stone] bracelet for babies to protect them from the evil eye, it’s part of our culture,” he said according to www.omg.yahoo.com.

Jennifer has wanted to be a mother for a very long time and everyone is excited for her, whether she has twins or not. If They do not wish to speak on whether or not they are having twins, that is perfectly ok. One of the many bad parts to being a celebrity is the fact that you cannot have privacy. No one can have a baby without every paparazzi trying to get the first picture of it. People need to realize they have a life, and give them some privacy, especially for the newborn baby. It is no one’s business if it is twins or not, let’s just be happy for the couple and let them be!
